Plants:

Our specialty is herbs. From April through September we sell over 300 varieties of herbs as individual potted plants and mixed containers. Also available are perennials, annuals and vegetable plants. Our selection of hot pepper plants and heirloom tomato varieties grows larger each year.

Market Gardens:

Culinary herbs are grown and harvested for sale to markets, restaurants, grocery stores and the public. Our herbs are grown organically. We do not use chemical fertilizers or pest control.

Display Gardens:

You're welcome to enjoy the gardens while visiting Sassafras Farms. The shade, cottage, cutting, vegetable, herb and perennial gardens are designed to feature many of the varieties we sell. Perhaps you'll discover a plant you don't know or come away with an idea for using an old favorite in a new way. We enjoy taking these walks with our guests (time permitting) and will always be available to answer questions.

Dried Flowers & Herbs:

Bunched and hung to dry in our 1867 Pennsylvania bank barn, our unusual assortment is available year round.

Educational Opportunities:

From time to time we offer classes on cooking and plant related subjects. If you have a group interests in learning more about scheduling a class, please give us a call.
